| Storage requirements at the University of Detroit Mercy (UDM) has risen sharply over the last three to four years, with data growing by about 10 percent each month. A major project placed additional pressure on centralizing backup and recovery on a scalable, heterogeneous platform. UDM determined the products they were using became increasingly problematic. The network team gave BakBone a closer look and found NetVault: Backup more intuitive and easier to use. UDM stated BakBone's suite of data protection solutions has yielded innumerable benefits for them. The backup and recovery window has been reduced by approximately 50 percent while confidence in data integrity has soared. They found NetVault: Backup and BakBone's Application Plugins intuitive, super reliable and sport a nice graphical user interface for unparalleled ease of use. They also applauded NetVault: Report Manager's straightforward operation and flexibility to collect statistics automatically. As a result, the university will continue to extend its storage infrastructure along with the current suite of BakBone heterogeneous solutions to safeguard vital information while ensuring the integrity of both Oracle and Exchange data. They also said they found the integrated, cross-platform capabilities of the NetVault product suite to be outstanding and further praised the company's tech support. Lastly, UDM said BakBone will play an integral role in protecting their critical data for years to come. |
