POOLE, UNITED KINGDOM - July 24, 2002 - While many companies in the storage industry are shedding staff, BakBone Software is pleased to announce the expansion in its European sales and technical team. With these new additions to the Central European operation – based in Munich, Germany – the sales team has grown by 100% this year alone. EMEA Marketing Manager Sean Jackson relocated to Germany earlier this year to help grow BakBone's fastest growing business division this year, the Central European Team.

Most of the new employees come from other companies within the storage industry, such as UK pre-sales engineer Richard Stratford, who joins BakBone's European head office in Poole from IBM's Storage Group where he was previously a SAN and disk specialist. Other storage experts who have joined BakBone include sales account manager Martin van Pijkeren, who moves to BakBone's Benelux operation from Veritas, Christopher Peillot-Frandet, who joins the Southern Europe division as a sales account manager from Datacore Software and Werner Kroll, who joins the Central Europe sales team as a sales account manager from Auspex Systems.

The Central European Team has been strengthened further by the hire of sales account manager Sören Molter-Bock and pre-sales engineer Alfred Ajayi.
