TOKYO, JAPAN, March 1, 2001 - Nissho Electronics, one of Japan's largest value-added reseller, systems integration and distribution firms, today announced it has begun offering its customers BakBone Software's (TSE: BKB, OTC: BKBOF) NetVault™ backup/restore software, bundled with a wide range of Hewlett Packard Japan's tape-based storage hardware, including its next-generation, HP SureStore Ultrium 230 series.

The bundled solutions, with HP Japan's hardware and BakBone's software, address the market's need for a Linux backup solution. The solutions are distributed and supported by Nissho.

Nissho has prepared ten Linux backup solution packages with hp surestore tape backup devices and NetVault. From March 8 to May 31, 2001 they will be offered at the following special prices:

Nissho, HP Japan's premier distribution partner, will market the HP/NetVault combination to its customers throughout Japan, including some of the country's largest enterprises. Nissho officials said they chose NetVault because of its unmatched, blazing-fast performance for both backing up and restoring corporate-critical information, as well as support for not only Linux platforms but also UNIX and Windows NT/2000.
